What is the best way to get a hold of you? Honestly the best way to get a hold of me is through filling out the contact form or email me at: laurajgardnerphotography@gmail.com or text/call me at 812.801.9237. I don't always check my FB account (sorry).
Where are you located and do you travel? I am located in beautiful historic Madison, Indiana. Yes I sure do travel! I don't mind traveling to any location within reason. If you are within 20 miles of where I live, travel expenses are included. If I should travel more than 20 miles from where I live my travel fee is .70 per additional mile.
Can I add other family members to your immediate family session or a senior package? Yes of course you can! However, there is an extra $50 fee for each family that wants to join in the photo. The more family members added the longer it takes and not to mention a lot more editing time.
What is the best way to handle payment? Call me old fashion but I prefer a check or cash at this time.
What are your wedding packages? Please check out my wedding packages under my service section. I have a half day and full day coverage. Although I do understand every couple is different so I can also mold a package to your special needs after we take the time to chat and go over details.
With your wedding packages I noticed engagement photos are included? Yes I do this because I would love to get to know you a bit before your big day. If you are wanting me to travel to a special location more than 30 minutes then I will have to charge my travel fee (.60/mile). However if you want to come to Madison, Indiana there are amazing backdrops that you will love and I can guide you to some great places.
Can I remove the engagement session from your package? I am sorry this is just a special complimentary gift to you. I do this to get to know my couples and to get a feel for their personalities.
If my wedding is 2 hours away will there be extra costs? If I have to travel more then 2 hours and you have a full day coverage then hotel accommodations would be greatly appreciated.
How do I lock in my date for the wedding? First of all I would love to have a chat on the phone or meet you in person to go over all details and questions you may have. From there you sign the photo agreement (not scary, I promise) and than a non refundable $300 deposit is required to lock in the date. I ask for the final payment a week before the wedding or the day of.
How many photos do you deliver in a wedding gallery? Since every wedding is different depending on a half day with one photographer or a full day with two photographers, I usually deliver anywhere from 500-700 photos. Believe me you will have a wonderful variety.
Do you edit all the photos? Will I receive any black & white photos? This takes a lot of precious time. I will edit all photos. This doesn't mean you get every photo I have shot. I edit down to the very best and will sprinkle a variety of black and white images on the ones I find to be of that style.
Does it cost extra to to Photoshop blemishes out? If you have a few pimples yes I will fix them but I don't do heavy editing. I like to capture the real you, wrinkles and all!
How long is your turn around for wedding photos? My typically turn around for your wedding photos is 6-8 weeks. Don't worry, I usually do a little sneak peek on Instagram or Facebook so you can see a few images from the day.
I sometimes get nervous during sessions do you help with poses? Believe me, you will be at ease. I have a way with my clients, you may do a few corny things but it's usually the laugh afterwards that I love to capture.
